Krew respects the rights of copyright owners and expects its users to do the same. This policy explains how to report content in the Service that you believe infringes your copyright, and what happens next. It is our notice-and-takedown procedure under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) and similar laws.

1. What users may upload

Users may upload photos, videos, voice notes, files, profile pictures and text as part of their organisation's work. By uploading, a user confirms they own the content or have permission to use it. Uploading someone else's work without permission breaks the Terms of Use.

Send your notice to our designated agent:

  • Designated agent: Youssef Mohamed, trading as Krew
  • Address: c/o Hicham, Flat 147 Warren House, Beckford Close, London W14 8TW, United Kingdom
  • Email: [email protected]
  • Subject line: "Copyright notice"

You can also tap "Report copyright infringement" in Help, or the flag button on any photo, video or file in the app, which opens a pre-addressed email.

Your notice must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name is enough).
  2. A description of the copyrighted work you say is infringed.
  3. Where the material is in the Service, precisely enough for us to find it (the organisation, screen, date, file name or a screenshot).
  4. Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act for the owner.

3. What we do with a notice

When we receive a complete notice we remove or disable access to the material promptly, and tell the user who uploaded it (and their organisation's administrator), with a copy of the notice.

4. Counter-notice

If you believe material you uploaded was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address containing: your signature; identification of the material and where it was before removal; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your name, address and telephone number; and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which the Service may be found) and will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice. We forward the counter-notice to the complainant and may restore the material in 10 to 14 business days unless they tell us they have filed a court action.

5. Repeat infringers

We keep a record of valid notices against each account. An account that is the subject of valid notices on three separate occasions, or that we otherwise find to be a repeat infringer, is terminated. In appropriate cases we may terminate an account sooner.

6. False notices

Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, can make you liable for damages (17 U.S.C. § 512(f)).
